If a product has been received damaged, please let us know within the 24 hours and do not assemble it. Please note we cannot offer a full or partial part exchange once the full product has been opened, partially assembled and box disposed-of. If approved by Marcus Office Furniture World, the original purchaser may exchange the part or product with their own accommodations of freight, delivery or other shipping charges prepaid.

Local Deliveries and Shipments

The following Terms of Sale are printed in our physical Invoices and apply to our Local Deliveries and Shipments. For Domestic Shipments (mostly eCommerce Sales which include our website, eBay and Amazon store) and International Shipments please see Shipping Charges and Shipping Information.   1. Marcus Office and it’s affiliates partners deliveries are performed Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Delivery charges are based on regular business hours rate. Overtime or weekend hours are available at additional charges.
  2. Client is responsible for scheduling appointment with building management for any specific delivery hours and checking proof of Insurance, if the truck is sent and delivery is not performed, next deliveries are available at additional charges. Proof of Insurance requirements must be send beforehand to our Customer Service team only, if they are not received delivery can not be performed and additional charges may incur.
  3. If no elevator is available, $15 will be charged per item for 2nd floor deliveries. We will not deliver past 2nd floor and additional charges will incur per floor.
  4. The location where the furniture is installed must be clear and free of any obstacles; otherwise there will be a charge of $25/hour per installer. Client will be responsible for covering wood floors. Extra charges will applied if there’s any inconvenience upon delivery.
  5. Any cancellation must be done within 24 hrs. and must be notified to Customer Service. Please contact Customer Service for more information on returning an item.
  6. We cannot accept changes, returns or cancellations after your order is processed and in production without additional charges forfeit of deposit 30% Restocking charge.
  7.  All new products are made to order and is non-cancelable, non-returnable and non-refundable. Pre-owned/Used, Floor Model, Open Box, Refurbished and Scratch and Dent products are sold AS IS and is a final sale that is non-cancelable, non-returnable and non-refundable.
  8.  No exchanges on new furniture after client accepts delivery.
  9.  A deposit of 50% is required at time of order. Balance due in full upon delivery & installation.
  10.  Installation charge is based on your floor plan and can be modified at least 24 hours prior delivery. Any on site changes will be charged at $35/hour/worker.
  11.  In cases of any type of dispute, attorney fees will be payed by the buyer.
  12.  A storage charge of $15. Per sqft., per month, will be charged for orders not delivered after 7 days.
  13.  Marcus Office offers with all new products at least one year warranty of labor on any defect. Please check with your Sales representative the warranty information. Manufacturer’s warranties may also apply.
  14.  Title of the Goods will main with the Seller until full payment by client or leasing company, if leasing is involved.
  15.  If the sale involves pre-owned cubicles, steam cleaning of the panels is available for an additional charge.
  16.  Client is responsible for connecting any electrified panels to the building power source or cabling for voice and data.
  17.  If any damage on furniture and/or backorder pieces, client can not hold more than 50% of the value of this item. Final payment is due when back ordered or replacement item is delivered. Client must pay the full balance of other items that have been delivered without problems.
  18.  In the event of default of payment, the seller may enter upon the premises where the furniture is located without prior notice, take possession of it and remove the it without any liability to seller. It is further understood that the seller retains full title to the above merchandise until completely paid.
  19.  Your signature or online order confirmation approves color, size, design, configuration, finish and price.

To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the “My Account” section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Marcus Office Furniture World could repair or replace with a comparable product, at its option, without charge to the original purchaser, only defective products or parts found defective during the warranty period that has been allowed by the manufacturer. Each product on our site carries a specific factory warranty ranging on structural components and parts depending upon the manufacturer. If requested by Marcus Office Furniture World, the original purchaser must return the part or product with freight, delivery or other shipping charges prepaid including redeliveries of the replaced item. This warranty shall be effective for the applicable time period beginning from date of purchase as shown on original purchaser’s original receipt or other proof of purchase until deemed correct by the manufacturers warranty information. Take note that warranties on foam, textiles and leathers are different from structural warranties. This is defined clearly within each warranty statement from each manufacturer.

Non Warranted

  • Product abuse or misuse
  • User modification of or attachments to the product
  • Failure resulting from normal wear and tear
  • Products or parts not used, maintained or installed in accordance with installation, maintenance and/or applicable guidelines
  • Products that are exposed to extreme environmental conditions and/or have been subject to improper storage
  • Floor samples or display models
  • Products purchased “as is”, open box, used and/or secondhand
  • Products manufactured by a manufacturer that we are not an authorized dealer for
  • Creasing and/or gathering of textiles during upholstery application process
  • Minor irregularities of color, surface, grain, and texture
  • Minor variations of color in textiles
  • Variations of texture and natural markings such as neck wrinkles, scratches, backbone marks and stretch marks in leather
  • Color matching of textiles exactly to samples, swatches or prior purchases

Liabilities

Under no circumstance, including but not limited to breach of contract, breach of warranty or negligence, shall Marcus Office Furniture World be liable for lost profits, loss of goodwill, stored data, general, special, consequential or exemplary damages, even if Marcus Office Furniture World had notice of these damages or they were foreseeable. Marcus Office Furniture World shall not be responsible for verifying customer’s description of needs, data, or the fitness for a particular purpose of goods. Marcus Office Furniture World ’s liability in all cases shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective parts, or the purchase price of the product. Damages resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, negligence, or accidents are not covered under this warranty. Except as otherwise provided, Marcus Office Furniture World makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Domestic Shipping Charges

Items that are too big to send via FedEx or UPS, or shipments with a large quantity of items must be transported to you on a semi-truck and require special freight charges. Freight charges are calculated on a per shipment basis since product sizes, weights, quantities and delivery locations vary. Your specific location is required to receive the most accurate rate. We work to find the least expensive delivery method available by getting several quotes from different carriers. It may take longer for us to provide you with a freight quote for item(s) shipped directly from the manufacturer. We’ll pass the information on to you as soon as we receive it.

Freight Delivery Services

Base level delivery service is the least expensive option and consists of either:

  • Dock-to-Dock – delivered to your loading dock and unloaded by you and/or your staff
  • Tailgate Delivery – you and/or your staff unload items from the truck

If you don’t have a loading dock, forklift or staff/assistance available, you may require additional delivery services. Without them, you will be responsible for getting your order off the truck (within 15 minutes) and inside your delivery location without any assistance from the delivery driver.

Additional Freight Delivery Services

Marcus Office can provide additional Freight Delivery Services upon request.

Unload Myself Customer is responsible for unloading the order from the truck (unassisted) within 15 minutes. Customer is also responsible for bringing it inside the delivery location.
Curbside Service Driver will lower your order to the ground using a lift gate (platform on the back of the truck that works like an elevator). Customer is responsible for bringing it inside the delivery location.
To the Door Delivery Driver will bring your order to the doorway (no stairs included), but not inside the main entrance of delivery location. This option includes a prescheduled delivery time and a truck equipped with a lift gate (platform on the back of the truck that works like an elevator).

 

International Shipping Charges

For over 30 years Marcus Office has been delivering items to the international export freight forwarder of your choice. Our products are securely packaged (boxed, banded, reinforced and/or shrink-wrapped as appropriate) and transported the freight forwarder company. Local Deliveries and Installations Charges

Pricing for Local Deliveries and Installations vary on the size of the order, availability, delivery location and installation team needed to complete the order. Please contact your Sales representative before placing an Order for pricing on your Office Furniture project. Domestic Shipments

Marcus Office offers free shipping on many items to our customers anywhere in the contiguous United States and are considered mostly eCommerce Sales which include our website, eBay and Amazon store. We have partnered with manufacturers and distributors that have locations across the country to serve you better and ship our products from the location nearest to you. Not all items are shipped directly from our warehouses are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer or distributor to you.

Your product is securely packaged (boxed, banded, reinforced and/or shrink-wrapped as appropriate) and transported by FedEx, UPS or other freight carrier, as determined by the size and weight of the shipment.

A physical street address is required for any delivery. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.

How long will my item take to ship?

With the wide array of products we offer, different items ship at different times from multiple locations. We provide estimated ship times to you. If the lead time is a critical to you, please contact us here and choose the Customer Service option.

How much does shipping cost?

Many of our items ship free within the contiguous United States and are marked Free Shipping.

Most orders will ship via UPS or FedEx. Larger items or larger orders will be transported on a semi-truck via freight carrier. Please see Shipping Charges for more information.

Items that do not qualify for free shipping will incur shipping charges. We attempt to calculate your shipping charges during the checkout process. If the shipping charges for your order cannot be determined during checkout, you will receive a shipping quote via email within 24 hours of placing your order on regular business days. If you prefer to receive the shipping charges before placing your order, submit a Shipping/Freight Quote Request. You will receive a shipping quote via email within 3-4 hours on regular business days. You will also receive a quote number that you can reference in the comments section when you place your order.

If your order requires shipping charges and is submitted over the weekend, we will provide your quote at the first opportunity on the next business day. Your order will not be processed until you approve the shipping charges.

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada will incur additional shipping charges.

International Shipments

How much is shipping to Canada?

Shipping charges to Canada will vary depending on the size and weight of your order. To receive a Shipping/Freight Quote before placing your order, contact us and provide your order details.

Canadian customers are responsible for applicable taxes, duties and brokerage fees.

Do you ship overseas?

For over 30 years Marcus Office has been delivering items to the international export freight forwarder of your choice. Our products are securely packaged (boxed, banded, reinforced and/or shrink-wrapped as appropriate) and transported the freight forwarder company. Local Deliveries and Installations

Pricing for Local Deliveries and Installations vary on the size of the order, availability, delivery location and installation team members needed to complete the order.

Onsite Installations

The job site shall be clean, clear and free of debris and other furniture prior to installation. The job site should be free
of other trades that could inhibit the installation of office furniture and systems furniture. If these conditions can not be provided, extra charges for labor and storage expenses will accrue at an expense to the client. Electrical current, hoisting and elevator service with adequate access shall be furnished by the client without charge to Marcus Office Furniture World. The client shall provide adequate facilities for off‐street loading, staging, moving and the handling of office furniture and/or systems. Any delay by the client in job site preparation that prevents scheduled deliveries from taking place may result in additional charges for labor and storage. If special packaging and handling is required that is not in the original specifications (i.e. stair carry up,
export packaging etc.), the client will be subject to the extra charges incurred. Delivery and installation of office furniture and/or systems will be conducted only during normal working hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00a.m. until 5:30p.m. If client requests that labor be performed beyond these hours, working overtime, weekends and holidays then additional charges are to be paid by the client to Marcus Office Furniture World.

New

New are brand new products that are packaged from the original manufacturer or distributor. These products have warranty and warranty information must be asked before that particular product is purchased.

Pre-Owned/Used

Pre-Owned/Used are secondhand products that have been used previously and may have Scratch and Dents. They may not have the same manufacturer’s warranty as if they were new in carton, but you buy them for less. Most of the time it is on one side or another or on the back, many times when the furniture installed you may not even see it.

Floor Model

Floor Models are New products that are placed in one of our showrooms for display purposes. Floor models are taken out of their packaging and may have Scratch and Dents. They may not have the same manufacturer’s warranty as if they were new in carton, but you buy them for less. Most of the time it is on one side or another or on the back, many times when the furniture installed you may not even see it.

Open Box

Open Box means that a product has been opened and may have Scratch and Dents. It’s likely been returned for some reason, but not necessarily because it’s damaged. They may not have the same manufacturer’s warranty as if they were new in carton, but you buy them for less because of the damage. Most of the time it is on one side or another or on the back, many times when the furniture installed you may not even see it.

Refurbished

Refurbished are products that in that have been reconditioned and repackaged and may have Scratch and Dents. These products have a limited warranty. Warranty information must be asked before that particular product is purchased.

Scratch and Dent

Scratch and Dent means that a product has a dents or dings or scratches on it somewhere. They may not have the same manufacturer’s warranty as if they were new in carton, but you buy them for less because of the damage. Most of the time it is on one side or another or on the back, many times when the furniture installed you may not even see it.
